This BMW i8 comes courtesy of ATT-TEC and features a set of custom ADV.1 Wheels. The German tuning company is well-known for their high-performance and luxury builds. The addition of a set of aftermarket custom forged wheels to a vehicle like BMW i8 is a great way to improve the visual appeal of BMW’s most progressive car. Even though the BMW i8 comes with an extravagant and futuristic design, there are still ways to improve upon it and custom wheels are the most effective way to do so.
The i8 comes with a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a turbocharged three-cylinder BMW TwinPower Turbo petrol engine and BMW eDrive technology in the form of an electric drive system.
BMW’s most advanced car built-to-date produces 362 horsepower and 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) for a 0 to 100 km/h of 4.4 seconds. Good enough for most owners who love to push their cars closer to the limit. With these ADV15 MV.2 Super Light wheels, the BMW i8 will stand out in the limited crowd of hybrid sportscars. The wheels are sized 22×9 in the front and 22×10.5 in the rear, respectively. The wheels come with a Titanium finish for the wheels spokes, while a Matte Gunmetal finish is applied to the lips, adding a nice contrasting effect to this setup. More detail is available in the media gallery below.

Back in the day, BMW used to make pretty much one kind of car — smallish sporty luxury cars. They came in various shapes and sizes, like small sedans, big sedans and coupes. But all BMWs, regardless of size or shape, was a relatively small and sporty luxury car. They all had the same BMW characteristics. Nowadays, however, BMW has several different styles of cars that all have their own unique characteristics. The BMW DNA is still alive in most, but they aren’t all smallish sporty cars anymore. In fact, there are uber luxury cars meant to coddle, like the BMW 7 Series and big hulking SUVs like the X5 and X6. The typical sporty BMW is still alive, but it also has some different siblings to go along with it. So now that BMW has such a varied bunch of cars, it also has a varied bunch of customers. BMWs are no longer only for the type of person who wants superb chassis balance and precise steering. So which kind of BMW customer are you and which kind of BMW suits you best?
The BMW 7 Series has just been released and is an absolutely excellent vehicle. It’s comfortable, cosseting, beautiful, technological and incredibly impressive. However, despite all of that, I most likely wouldn’t buy one. It’s just not my thing. I’m not a fan of big luxo-barges, despite how much I can appreciate their technology and luxury. So personally, I wouldn’t ever buy one. Though there are plenty of people that do and will buy the new 7 Series and I applaud them for buying it. There are also people who buy BMW’s SUVs, like the X5 and X6, which are big, luxurious and heavy. They’re great vehicles, truly, but I wouldn’t buy one of those either. I recently just spent a week with the X5 xDrive40e and thought that it was immensely impressive. Despite that, however, I’d never put my money down on it because it’s just too big and too heavy for my tastes. If that’s your jam, go for it because it’s a great car, but if you like something more nimble and sporty, than it’s not the car for you as it isn’t the car for me. If I were to pick a BMW that perfectly suited me, it’d be the BMW M235i. I’d personally take a rear-wheel drive model with a manual, as typical as that may sound. It’s just the BMW that suits me the most, even more so than the mighty M3 and M4. Reason being is that I like cars that are very compact, nimble and have incredibly sharp handling. But I also like only moderate amounts of power. An M4 is almost a bit too powerful for my tastes. I like a car with enough power to make me smile but also just enough that I can use most of it a lot of the time and not worry about rear-ending the car in front of me every time I breath on the go-pedal. So the M235i is my kind of BMW and the one I’d choose over all others if I could.

With only 700 units produced globally, the BMW M4 GTS is as rare as it can get. While some markets, like the US, will get 300 units, others will have a very limited amount of M4 GTS cars. The UK is lucky to sell 30 units priced at £121,770, while Netherlands only 4. So it comes as no surprise that the Dutch market sold out quickly. According to Telegraaf, all four track-ready M4s are accounted for. Just like the other markets, the M4 GTS is available in Sapphire Black metallic, Mineral Grey metallic, Alpine White and Frozen Dark Grey Metallic. The M4 GTS will sit on the same M Star (Style 666M) 19-inch front wheels (9.5 J x 19) and 20-inch (10.5 J x 20) rear wheels, painted in Acid Orange and wrapped in the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires (front: 265/35 R19; rear: 285/30 R20).
Standard equipment includes the iDrive Navigation System, adaptive LED headlights, OLED taillights, PDC front and rear, BMW Individual high-gloss Shadow Line trim and M door sill finishers, an M footrest, an M gearshift lever, M-specific circular instruments with white graphics, an M sports steering wheel in Alcantara.
The engine delivers 500 horsepower for the European model and 493 hp for the U.S. one. From 0 to 60 mph, the M4 GTS needs only 3.7 seconds. BMW also quotes a Nurburgring time of 7:28 minutes which is faster than many supercars. The 2016 BMW M4 GTS will arrive in US showrooms in spring 2016 for $134,200 including $995 Destination & Handling.

In July 2016, BMW will refresh its i3 electric car with a higher energy density battery. The current model consists of 8 x 2.7 kWh packs cells – each containing 12 x 3.75 volt, 60 Ah actual cells – wired in series for a nominal capacity of 21.8 kWh, 360 volts, of which 18.8 kWh are usable. The new battery is expected to have a 94Ah battery and the higher energy density will give the i3 an expected range of 120 miles. The actual rating will be issued by EPA after testing. EPA currently rates the i3 BEV at 81 miles. BMW hinted at the possibility of current owners to retrofit the battery, but the cost and process won’t be revealed until we get close to the market launch. The battery will be used in both the BEV – full electric i3 – and the REx – range extender.
Two years after it went on sale, the BMW i3 has established itself at the pinnacle of its segment worldwide. In Germany, one in every four electrically-powered vehicles sold since then has been a BMW i3, globally it is one in 10. In the listings of the most popular EV models, the BMW i3 occupies third place on a world-wide basis since its market launch in November 2013. The most important single market for the all-electric five-door is the USA, where it ranks third as well. In Norway the BMW i3 has been the best-selling model across the entire BMW range in the current year. With an increased range, the i3 will get closer to the range of the Nissan Leaf (107 miles) and will move towards the goal of having a 200 miles electric vehicle in the next few years. Over the years we’ve seen some of the craziest paint jobs, from purple colored BMWs to pink and shinny gold, but what we haven’t seen often is a BMW wrapped with a camouflage tape. This F10 BMW M5 hails from Zurich, Switzerland, and features a military-style camouflage that would allow to hide behind the enemy lines. Despite the unusual “paint” choice, this F10 M5 is more tastefully done than other nutty tuning projects we’ve seen in the past. The camo tape fits perfectly the proportions of the car while the bronze wheels stay within the military-style approach. The F10 M5 is powered by a high-revving 4.4-liter (4395cc) turbocharged that uses the BMW M TwinPower Turbo technology. The engine outputs 560 horsepower from 5,750-7,000 rpm and 680Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque from only 1500rpm. It comes in both manual and 7-speed DCT transmission. A 575 horsepower Competition Package comes with a series of upgrades to the chassis and ride settings. The M engineers have revised the suspension and damping systems, the stabilizer bars have also been more tautly tuned. BMW will replace the current M5 in 2018 when the next-gen F90 M5 might be offered for the first time with an all-wheel drive option. From December 3 to 6, Miami Beach will once again take center stage in the international art world. For the 14th time running, the famous art fair will take place in Florida, supported once again by its official partner BMW. 267 of the world’s leading galleries from North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa will present modern and contemporary art as well as works by emerging artists. As in previous years, BMW will provide the official VIP shuttle services, this time with the limousines of its new BMW 7 series. In addition, BMW will host an exclusive reception for VIPs as part of the art initiative “BMW Art Journey” on Wednesday, December 2, 2015. BMW and Art Basel will present the BMW Art Journey, one of their most recent projects, in the botanical garden adjacent to the fair grounds. Like a mobile artist’s studio, BMW Art Journey offers artists the opportunity to travel to a destination of their choice. The winner of the first edition, Hong Kong based artist Samson Young, traveled across five continents while exploring the subject of iconic bells in light of various themes including conflicts, religion, community and the political symbolism of sounds.
On the evening prior to the VIP opening of the fair, BMW i, together with Soho House, will invite selected guests to an Art Talk. Lawrence Weschler, author and long time staff writer at The New Yorker will speak with the winner of the BMW Art Journey, Samson Young, about his extraordinary journey. On the same evening, the first publication on the BMW Art Journey, published by Hatje Cantz, will be presented. Looking at 70 different iconic projects, “The Sense of Movement: When Artists Travel” conveys the fascination and importance as well as the artistic significance of artists’ journeys. For further information, please visit http://www.hatjecantz.de/bmw-art-journey.
On December 3, following the first BMW Art Journey, a panel of expert jurors of curators and museum directors will compile the shortlist for the coming edition, to be announced as part of a press event at the Botanical Garden. Chosen from “Positions”, the sector of young galleries at Art Basel Miami Beach, the three shortlisted candidates will be invited to present their planned itineraries. After a second decision by the jury, one of them will be offered the opportunity to realise his trip as part of the BMW Art Journey. The jury at Miami Beach will include Juan Gaitán (Director Tamayo Museum of Contemporary Art, Mexico City), Massimiliano Gioni (Artistic Director New Museum, New York City), Gabriele Horn (Director KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin), Victoria Noorthoorn (Director Museo de Arte Moderna, Buenos Aires) and Bisi Silva (Artistic Director Centre for Contemporary Art, Lagos). In addition to experiencing the BMW Art Journey, visitors can venture into the fair’s Collectors Lounge to catch a glimpse of the BMW Art Car designed by César Manrique in 1990. This Spanish artist worked as architect, graphic designer, sculptor and landscape artist. Most importantly, however, he was passionate about protecting the environment. Inspired by his commitment to this cause, he designed an Art Car representing the harmony of technology and nature. This year, the BMW Art Car Collection is celebrating its 40th anniversary, and the two artists chosen to design the next two Art Cars were recently announced at the Guggen-heim Museum in New York City. Chinese artist Cao Fei (*1978) and American artist John Baldessari (*1931) will be the youngest and the oldest artist represented in the collection respectively. Both artists will create a BMW M6 GT3 in the coming year, which will be presented in museums and also on the racetrack in 2017.
